Privacy notice
Last updated 4 October 2026
This notice explains how Luke Ford, trading as Onward Workforce, handles personal data. We introduce employers to apprenticeship training providers. We are not a training provider.
Who we are
Luke Ford, trading as Onward Workforce, Charlotte House, Norfolk Street, Liverpool L1 0BG. Luke Ford, trading as Onward Workforce, is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us at hello@onwardworkforce.com.
Where we obtained your details
If you contacted us through the enquiry form on this website, we hold what you entered: your name, work email address and company name, and your answer to the optional question about which workflow you would fix first.
If we contacted you first, we obtained your business contact details from SuperSearch, the business contact database provided by Instantly and its data partners, alongside public sources such as your employer's website and Companies House. The data we hold is limited to business contact information: your name, job title, employer, work email address and, in some cases, a work telephone number. We do not obtain or hold personal information about your life outside work.
Why we process it, and our lawful basis
We process business contact details to tell relevant decision-makers about apprenticeship programmes that may suit their organisation, and to respond to enquiries.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR — our interest in promoting a business service to organisations likely to find it relevant. We have assessed this against your rights and consider the impact low, because we contact people only in their professional capacity, about matters relevant to their role, and we stop immediately on request.
Where you submit an enquiry, we process your details to respond to you and to progress the enquiry, which is also a legitimate interest and, where a contract follows, necessary for steps taken at your request.
Who we share it with
If you ask us to introduce you to one of the apprenticeship training providers we work with, we pass your details to that provider so they can contact you. We will tell you who the provider is before we pass your details on. They are a separate data controller and will handle your data under their own privacy notice.
We also use service providers who process data on our behalf. They act only on our instructions:
- Instantly, our email platform, which we use to send our emails and receive replies (and which provides the SuperSearch database mentioned above);
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the enquiry form;
- Microsoft 365, which provides our mailboxes.
We keep our own record of contacts, enquiries and introductions in a spreadsheet.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
- Prospect contact details where there has been no engagement: 12 months, then deleted.
- Enquiry details where no business follows: 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Records relating to an introduction that proceeds: 6 years, for contractual and accounting purposes.
- Suppression list — the record that you asked not to be contacted: kept indefinitely, because it is the only way to honour your request.
Your rights
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and an absolute right to object to direct marketing. If you object to marketing we will stop immediately and add you to our suppression list. You also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@onwardworkforce.com.
To stop hearing from us, reply to any of our emails with the word STOP, or email hello@onwardworkforce.com. No explanation needed.
International transfers
Some of the services we use, including Instantly and Netlify, are based in or store data in the United States, and our mailboxes are provided by Microsoft. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, these providers state that they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK-US Data Bridge or standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. Each provider's own privacy policy has the details, and you can contact us for more information.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies, analytics or any other tracking. Its fonts are served from this site, not from Google or any other third party. Like any web host, Netlify processes the technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the pages to you.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
